soooooooooooooooo I don't know what possessed me to get on here today but I felt like posting since it's been awhile. Plus the fact that I'm procrastinating a WHOLE lot. Not that I have a ton to do, I just don't want to do it. You know, college would be GREAT without this whole school thing... Things are absolutely amazing right now. I signed my first lease EVER on an apartment for next school year and I couldn't be more excited. I'm going to live with two fabulous girls whom I adore and I'm psyched about decorating and finally moving out of the dorms and being on my own! I'm 90% sure that I'm going to be going to Paris for 4 weeks next summer. I'll be taking two classes, Monday-Wednesday, 9-12 and then the rest of the time is MINE! I'm hoping to travel on the weekends to other countries & see the rest of France during the week! It's so exciting to finally be able to see all of the things my french teacher talked about for so long. I'm going to apply for a passport when I go home for Thanksgiving but it still hasn't really sunk in and I don't think it will until I'm actually there! I'm switching roommates at semester. I feel really bad about it, but I just can't deal with this one anymore. She's a nice girl, and it's not like we fight or don't get along or anything it's just...not really working out. I'm moving in with my friend Sam & I'm stoked. We get along SO WELL and I'm glad that I've finally found a really good friend here. I didn't last year so it's nice to have a best friend here. And then there's always the fact that I have a new baby to play with! Technically I'm not family so technically I'm not an aunt but I'm so excited I feel like one! I absolutely cannot WAIT until I get to go home and see her! I've seen the pictures and she's gorgeous and I want to see her and I just miss Kelly & Blake and everyone (including you Matt)!! OH and there's the big news that my best friend from grade school is coming to my house for Thanksgiving! She moved to Houston, TX when we were in fourth grade and I haven't seen her in a year in a half. I talked to her the other day and since she doesn't get out of school until Wednesday it's kind of pointless for her to go all the way back to Texas so I invited her to our house! She's flying in Wednesday night and gets to stay until Saturday!! This is the first time EVER that we're having all (and when I say all, I mean both sides) of the family at my house so we're going to have TWENTY SIX people there. I don't know if you know this, but we have a small house. Should be fun. I'm SUPER excited and I can't wait to see everybody and especially LAUREN!!! Everything else is pretty much ok. I love EIU. Classes are kicking my butt this semester. I'm finally getting into major classes, which is exciting, but they're hard. I absolutely cannot wait until this semester is over, just because I feel like all I do is study (although apparently that's what you're supposed to do in college?! Crazy I know). I'm loving everything but at the same time I'm very restless and in need of a break and some change. Hmmmmmmm...any suggestions on how to fix that? |
